A Balance Hook (also commonly known as a Cushion Tie-Down Hook, Cushion Clip, S-Hook, or
Retainer Clip) is a small, typically metal, hardware accessory designed to secure loose sofa seat
cushions to the frame of the furniture.
It usually consists of two parts:
The Hook (or "S" Clip): A curved, often S-shaped, metal wire that is attached to the furniture frame.
The Eyelet or Loop: A small metal plate with a hole, or a sewn-in fabric loop, that is attached to the
cushion and connects to the hook.
